A Study on Gender in the Urban Context

No climate justice without gender justice!

Climate actions that fail to include all segments of the population also tend to result in widening the inequality gap, where vulnerable populations without access to climate protection are among the first and hardest hit by climate disasters.

The first research report of Women4Climate, realized in partnership with the University College London, the Center Virchow-Villermé and the University of California, Berkeley, will provide city officials with the best information available regarding the gendered impacts of climate change in the urban context and help them consider gender-specific impacts and solutions in urban and climate action planning to implement inclusive climate action strategies taking gender equality into account.
