Women4Climate Vancouver
Vancouver Mentorship Programme 2021
Deadline extended until March 9
C40 will contribute to the emergence of the next generation of climate leaders by sharing knowledge and experience through a mentorship program dedicated to women working on climate issues to create a healthier, more sustainable and resilient urban future in C40 cities.
The C40 Women4Climate Mentorship Program matches forward looking mentors from politics, business sector, international organizations, and civil society with mentees. The mentors share their knowledge and experiences supporting the mentees to become powerful leaders in their chosen field, including politics, NGOs, business, media, and community groups.
Vancouver was the eighth city to launch a Women4Climate Mentorship Program. In its third year, Vancouver is seeking mentees from a diverse range of sectors and backgrounds focused on climate change mitigation. Preference will be given to applicants currently working on initiatives supporting Vancouver’s Climate Emergency Action Plan – specifically those advancing low carbon buildings, active transportation and transit, zero emission vehicles, and natural carbon sequestration.
We encourage the following to apply: entrepreneurs, researchers, designers, contractors, finance professionals, manufacturers, urban planners, green tech specialists, architects, engineers, geoscientists, educators, social workers, environmental anthropologists, politicians, and any woman working on an innovative initiative aligned with Vancouver’s Climate Emergency Action Plan.
We will prioritize applicants whose climate projects work with diverse or disproportionally impacted communities to create a more equitable, sustainable, and inclusive future.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS MIDNIGHT (PST), 9th MARCH 2021
WHO CAN APPLY? Please review the application guidelines available in the sidebar.
