London Mentorship Programme 2018

As part of the Mayors Entrepreneur Programme 2018, the city of London is linking to the Women4Climate Mentoring Programme for 10 of its female contestants with the most potential and the most original ideas. This is also part of London’s celebrations of 100 years since women gained the right to vote in the UK. The Mayors Entrepreneur Programme was open to all students registered at a London College or University this year or last year, and aims to develop innovative businesses that are meant to tackle climate change. Out of the more than 450 contestants the top 10 finalists received an exciting opportunity to pitch their ideas to the Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy and successful entrepreneurs on the 16th of April. The winner, WithLula will receive £20,000 seed capital to kickstart their company which aims to produce zero-waste, fully-flushable sanitary products. — LDNMayor Environment (@LDN_environment) 23 mars 2018

The 10 Women4Climate Mentees were also announced at the Awards Ceremony and more information about them will be published here soon. These young talents will be matched with committed leaders from the business sector, international organisations and civil society for a 6 months mentoring scheme. The mentors will guide them in developing their passion for the environment and their future careers.
