C40 will contribute to the emergence of the next generation of climate leaders by sharing knowledge and experience through an ambitious mentorship program dedicated to women in C40 cities. The C40 Women4Climate Mentorship Program will match political leaders and committed leaders from the business sector, international organizations, and community organizations with emerging female leaders. The mentors will share their knowledge and experiences, supporting the mentees in becoming powerful leaders in their chosen field including politics, NGOs, business, media, and community groups.
The ‘Parcours Developpement Durable Montreal’ is an initiative from the City of Montreal (in connection with the Plan Montreal durable 2016-2020), and the Conseil des Industries durables and Ellio, in partnership with the Government of Quebec and Women4Climate, an initiative by C40 Cities. The Parcours offers to eligibles SMEs and social-economy enterprises a one-year support and training program to identify innovative solutions to sustainable development challenges, including climate changes.
The main goal of the partnership with W4C is to accelerate women’s involvement in climate change issues in C40 cities. As such, ten of the twenty places of the cohort are reserved for women as part of the Women4Climate mentorship program.
Call for the second Cohort in Montreal is now open!
