Women4Climate Vancouver

Vancouver Mentorship Programme 2020

“Cities need to take bold action on climate change and Vancouver’s Women4Climate program will add leadership to guide us to a future powered by renewable energy”.
Mayor Kennedy Stewart, City of Vancouver

C40 will contribute to the emergence of the next generation of climate leaders by sharing knowledge and experience through a mentorship program dedicated to women working on climate issues to create a healthier, more sustainable and resilient urban future in C40 cities.

Vancouver was the eighth city to launch a Women4Climate Mentorship Program. In its second year, Vancouver is seeking mentees form a diverse range of sectors and backgrounds focused on climate change mitigation. Preference will be given to those focused on Vancouver’s largest carbon pollution contributors (in order of magnitude – buildings, transportation, consumption). We encourage the following to apply: entrepreneurs, researchers, designers, contractors, finance, engineers, geoscientists, educators, environmental anthropologists, politicians, and any woman with an innovative idea focused on accelerating the implementation of low energy urban systems.
