Luz Amparo Medina Gerena is a Colombian policy maker with more than 20 years of multisectoral experience in different public institutions. She is a development professional with a strong background in international affairs and cooperation. Her experience includes engagement in a wide range of fields such as justice, culture, climate change, science and technology and education. Before her current position, she was the Director General of Culture at the Organization of Ibero American States at the General Secretariat in Madrid -Spain. Since January 2020 she was appointed as the Director of International Affairs at the Mayor’s Office in Bogotá. She obtained her bachelor degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia as professional in Finance and International Relations with an MSc in Politics of Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
