Jorge
Muñoz Wells
With more than 20 years of experience in municipal management, Jorge Muñoz Wells is currently the mayor of the city of Lima, elected for the period 2019-2022. He is a Lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and Master in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the Barcelona University.
Before becoming mayor of Lima, he was also mayor in two consecutive periods of the District of Miraflores (2011 - 2014 and 2015 - 2018) Also, he was alderman in Miraflores during three periods (1999 - 2010), as a Lieutenant Mayor between 2003 and 2006. Also served as Municipal Director of Miraflores (1996 - 1998).
As mayor of Lima, his government plan has focused on four important axes: citizen security, transportation, fight against corruption and environment; where reaffirms his commitment to work intensely on the city's climate agenda, through the Local Climate Change Plan of the Province of Lima.
With vocation of service and experience, he desires to transform the city of Lima into the city that we all deserve to live, making honest politics, focusing in a government that thinks about people.
