Christine Babkine

Director, Corporate Social Responsibility at Ivanhoé Cambridge

Christine Babkine has more than 25 years of experience in management, marketing and corporate social responsibility (CSR). After joining Ivanhoé Cambridge in 2012, she proceeded to work with various business units and corporate services to develop and roll out a CSR strategy that would position the Company as a leader in its field. She is responsible for incorporating social and governance considerations into real estate investments and corporate initiatives in line with the strategic plan. She also oversees matters related to CSR-related reporting and reputation management for the organization.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Babkine held leadership roles with the marketing department of Tennis Canada – Coupe Rogers, the marketing department at La Ronde – a member of the Six Flags family, and the donations and sponsorships team at the Société des alcools du Québec. Her management skills, result oriented approach, strategic mindset, negotiation expertise, innovative spirit, creativity and commitment to excellence served her well in each of these positions.

Her current board appointments include the Montreal Real Estate Foundation for Kids, Dans la rue and the Espace pour la vie Foundation. She is a regular contributor to various panels and conferences on the topic of CSR.

Ms. Babkine holds a MBA in environmental and social responsibility from Université Laval. She already holds degrees in business administration (Université du Québec à Montréal), marketing (Institut Universitaire de Technologie in Montpellier, France) and communication studies (Université de Sherbrooke).
