Najat is in the second year of her Masters degree in digital use analysis at the University of Paris; her first degree was in marketing from a business school in Morocco. She is passionate about upcycling as an art; a way to discover creativity; and a mechanism to reduce waste. Previously, she has helped organise a anti-waste campaign for three months in Agadir, Morocco. Najat believes that simple gestures can greatly improve the quality of one’s life.
Najat’s project, ReModeKids, is a recycled clothing brand specifically target at children. Old clothes or textiles are collected to create new pieces, which are personalised and cheaper than other brands. Today, the textile industry is one of the most polluting – this project will positively impact sustainable development by: reducing emissions of harmful gases; reducing wastewater discharge; reducing waste; saving energy.

"I am passionate about upcyling, and concerned about environmental problems. Indeed, this project will allow me to create an activity in my field of passion while contributing to sustainable development! I would like ReModeKid's to give parents the chance to buy their children's clothes at a decent price, getting unique and personalised clothes whilst reducing waste and the impact of textile production.
The project idea was born as part of an ephemeral student cooperative 'Coopen'8'. It started with the ReMode project, a set of upcyling and textile customization workshops. Najat aims to develop this project by creating a children's clothing brand."
